ASSISTANT COUNTY MANAGER/FINANCE DIRECTOR
The Monroe County Board of Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for Assistant County Manager/Finance Director. This position is responsible for managing the finances of the Monroe County Government, serving as the manager for the Finance Division and Purchasing Department, and acting as County Manager in the absence of the County Manager. Substantial background in Governmental Accounting as well as sufficient payroll and/or bookkeeping experience are required. Solid fiscal management skills, strong communication skills, and excellent problem solving skills are essential. Minimum qualifications for this position are a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a closely related field and/or 5-7 years of government accounting with progressive roles of responsibilities and supervision. Salary range for this position is $65,000.00 to $75,000.00. Applications will be accepted until position is filled.
