Full-time position / Water System Manager

The Monroe County Board of Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Water System Manager.  This position is responsible for ensuring quality drinking water for the customers of both the North and South Monroe County Water systems which includes approximately 3200 customers and growing.  Work involves overseeing the collection of data, reviewing and submitting monthly and annual water quality reports, customer billing and accounts receivable records, reviewing contract documents, engineering plans, maps and various forms, as well as accurate record keeping per Environmental Protection Division requirements.  The incumbent works with water testing, subcontractors as well as County water system field personnel in achieving water quality goals. County government experience preferred but not necessary. Minimum job training or requirements include 3 to 5 years similar work experience. Must have or have the ability to receive and maintain Georgia Class III Water License.  Salary is commensurate with experience.
